Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) So(cial) Good Design Award 2015 winner
As The 519 evolved into the centre of the LGBTQ community in Toronto, the organization began looking for a brand that embodied authority, impact and optimism. Their goals were to ensure that The 519 brand and messaging was built upon the strength and diversity of the centre’s LGBTQ mandate, and communicating its value to a wider audience.
The resulted identity incorporates three overlapping spaces that represent the three pillars of their organizational framework: Service, Space, and Leadership. A secondary expanded colour palette was also created to reflect the diversity and vibrancy of the organization and a nod to the rainbow.
The brand identity system was applied across the organization to create a unified and consistent look. Brand collateral included: poster templates, signage, decor, stationery, and merchandise.
