Sal Curioso: a Spanish and Latino inspired restaurant in Hong Kong
Sal, a fictional character, is an inventor and uncommon genius. He meticulously designs and builds contraptions to best broil, steam or pop strange animals. A restaurant and inventor's workshop of the chicest kind.
During the concept stage, his personality, story, and background were established — going into the mind and embodying the spirit of Sal Curioso. Culinary inventions were created, including the Duck bobber, Caulitail Steamer, Guacaloco, and Squid Pop.
Each of the devices were accompanied by Sal’s personal annotations of his design. The collection of schematic drawings and documents fill the food menus as patents, coasters, and business cards.
